It’s been awfully quiet on this blog. But don’t worry, I haven’t died, my work hasn’t died, everything and everyone is okay. (:

Something I could not really post up front about is me being an artist in residence at the Aria Residency, as part of the Aria Gallery in Tehran, Iran. I stayed at the research residency site for four weeks in January 2019. An artist talk and exhibition followed, and more than a hundred people visited my open studio exhibition event at the end of my stay.

More info about the residency can be found here: aria-residency.com

Some photos of the open studio can be found here: http://aria-residency.com/open-studio-joyce-overheul/

More info about the works I made over there will be online soon, as soon as I’ve updated my website. I also continue in The Netherlands to make more works as a follow-up on the residency, more about that will be online too as soon as I’ve finished those projects.
