For the Art Ort Foundation, I made a limited edition print of the face of gallerist Henk Logman, who passed away in 2021.
The Art Ort Foundation has existed since March 2024, with Johan Buurke, Niek Hendrix, and Katja Logman as initiators. The main source of inspiration for this foundation is Henk Logman. With a keen eye for art and optimistic energy, he gave artists a platform at Galerie Logman in Utrecht. Took it. He passed away suddenly and far too young.
The print is only available for sale during the exhibition at Galerie Larik, from 9-12 April 2026. 40% of all profits will go to the Art Ort Foundation.
In 2020, Marin Hondebrink and I made a cast of Henk’s face for the installation The Monster of Loch Mann. The installation was on view multiple times in 2020 and 2021. Without knowing it back then, we made a death mask of Henk. For this project, I made a silicone cast of Henk’s face and photographed it.
Next to this photograph, a limited edition vinyl record will be released through the foundation. On that record, you will find 15 audio pieces by various artists, including me. Included with every record is a print of one of the 15 prints made for the exhibition. Beforehand, you will not know which print you’ll receive.
