I’m currently working on a new performance piece for the ‘Diep Gaan’ exhibition, organized by LUCY in de lucht (click here to go to their website). I was wondering, since the theme of the exhibition is ‘going deep’, how it would feel to commit myself to something quite enduring, and probably also very boring from time to time. I’ve never done something like that before. (No, knitting a sweater doesn’t count.)
So that’s why I decided I’m going to fold 1000 origami cranes during the Diep Gaan exhibition at Galerie Sanaa (Utrecht, NL), which will be opening on Sunday the 7th of July!
Above you can see a photo of an unfolded crane, one of the first cranes I ever made, and below’s the logo of the exhibition project:
The exhibtion project is quite huge: there will be lectures, talk shows, live performances and film screenings next to the exhibition at Galerie Sanaa! Hope to see you there!
